Walden, a game will be on exhibit at the MassArt Museum in Boston, MA as part of the Game Changers: Video Games & Contemporary Art exhibition. (February 22 - April 19, 2020) This group exhibition explores artists working at the confluence of contemporary art and video games. From the exhibit site: “Whether highlighting under-explored narratives, pushing technological boundaries, or imagining alternative worlds through game aesthetics, the artists featured in Game Changers are discovering new possibilities for what game-related art can be and do.” More info here.

Walden opening at Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial

Walden, a game has been selected for the Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial, planned to be on exhibit May 10–Jan. 20, 2020, at both Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum and Cube design museum in Kerkrade, Netherlands, allowing audiences in both the U.S. and Europe to experience the works simultaneously. The exhibit will feature over 60 projects to demonstrate how designers are collaborating with scientists, engineers, environmentalists, academics and other stakeholders to find inventive and promising solutions to the environmental and social challenges confronting humanity today.

Keynote for Meaningful Play

So pleased to have the opportunity to keynote at Meaningful Play this year! Last time I was there, Walden, a game won the "Most Meaningful Game" award and so it is just a complete pleasure to be able to attend again this year to speak about new directions in Meaningful Play.
