October 3-6, 2013: Indiecade, Culver City. I’ll be speaking on a panel called “Exploring Game Design’s Dark Matter” that will be comprised of folks making and incubating experimental games in academia. I was honored at this IndieCade with the Trailblazer Award.
September 26, 2013: Players and Professors: Follow up to the AERA event, this gathering will extend the conversation about digital media and learning and getting great projects to market. The Game Innovation Lab will be co-hosting with Bill Tierney and Zoe Corwin of the Pullias Center for Higher Education. The Collegeology Games team will be presenting demos of our suite of college access games.
June 11, 2013: ESA’s 4th Annual Games & Learning Roundtable at E3. I’ll be talking on a panel with David Sutphen of the Brunswick Group and Bobak Ferdowsi of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (perhaps best known as “mohawk guy”).

March 25, 2013: Game Developers Conference. I’ll be participating in the Game Design Curriculum Deathmatch with Eric Zimmerman, Mary Flanagan, Noah Wardrip-Fruin and Justin Hall as part of the Education Summit, Game Developer’s Conference.
