December 11, 2015: I’ll be presenting at the Games + Higher Education + Impact conference on a panel on “Pillow Talk: Best Practices for Funding Games for Impact.”

December 10, 2015: I’ll be part of a meeting at the White House on Games and Computer Science Education.

October 23-25, 2015: I’ll be showing Walden, a game at IndieCade, as one of this year’s finalists!

September 30, 2015: I’ll be speaking at a Games for Change YouTube event about how different areas of the games industry are attempting to make positive social change.

September 25, 2015: I’ll be speaking at Gaming Insiders on “The Bridge Over the River Graduation” — a talk about our USC Games “pre-incubator” program.

September 17-18, 2015: Tokyo Game Show. I’ll be showing Walden, a game as part of Sense of Wonder Night.

Septemer 16, 2015: I’ll be speaking at HAL College of Technology and Design in Tokyo on Entrepreneurship and Diversity in Games, as part of a panel hosted by the US Embassy.

August 24, 2015: School starts! I’ll be welcoming a wonderful new class of MFA and BA students to the Division of Interactive Media & Games and teaching the Introduction to Interactive Design, Advanced Projects (with a crew of five other mentors), and Interactive Media Seminar (with the amazing Sam Roberts). A very full slate!

August 21, 2015: I’ll be speaking at hearing of the CA Assembly Committee On Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism and Internet Media on California’s Video Game Industry. This hearing will be hosted by USC Games at SCI 108 from 10am-1pm.

July 28-30, 2015: I’ll be judging the Games category of the Microsoft Imagine Cup along with a number of other fine folks!

July 23-24, 2015: I’ll be doing a game design workshop at the NASPL Game Developers Conference.

July 19, 2015: I’ll be judging the Girls Make Games Demo Day again this year at the Computer History Museum in San Jose.

July 8-10, 2015: I’ll be participating on a panel at Games, Learning & Society on “(Academic) Game [Design|Research] Labs: What are They and How Do You (Not) Start One” with folks like Kurt Squire, Mark Chen, Scot Osterweil and more!

June 21, 2015: Hey, it’s my 50th birthday! What a great day 🙂

June 11-17, 2015: I’ll be showing Walden, a game as work in progress at LAUNCH at the LA Film Festival. There will be an event “Meet the Gamemakers” on Sunday, June 14 from 3-6pm. Come by if you’re attending the Festival!

June 16, 2015: I’ll be participating in the ESA’s Game’s and Learning Summit at E3.

June 15, 2015: I’ll be moderating a panel at EA’s first event for students interested in getting into the games industry as part of their E3 gathering.

April 21-23, 2015: I’ll be attending the Games for Change Conference in New York, where I will be receiving the Game Changer Award!

March 13-15, 2015: I’ll be speaking at SXSW on “Lovejames, Art Games and Game Innovation at USC”.

March 2-3, 2015: I’ll be speaking at the GDC Education Summit on “HigherEdGames: Elevating the Conversation on Games” and “Teaching Games with Games”.

February 5, 2015: I’ll be speaking at D.I.C.E. in Las Vegas on An Age of Play. (In case you missed this talk, here is a link to the video.)
